A Taste of Whats To Come

A few weeks ago we asked Food and Beverage professionals to video themselves sharing a piece of advice for students and new graduates who are keen to start their career in the industry. We are so grateful to those who were kind enough to take the time to do this and tell us why they love their job.

Deciding what career path to take is challenging enough, of course we are biased and would encourage anyone undecided to explore careers in the food and beverage industry.

So Many Career Choices

A broad overview would look something like this; Agriculture, Manufacturing and Processing, Food service and Culinary, Retail, Education and Research, Marketing and Advertising, Wholesale and Distribution and Regulations.  But that doesn’t begin to list the different career paths under each of those sectors.  When we say there are tons of options–we aren’t kidding–even better, the industry is growing so there’s lots of jobs too!

The First Step: Job Search

School is done and its time to start your career.  Starting your career starts with a job – ‘The Job Search’. We’ll take the stress and pressure out of this by offering you guidance but most of all a place where you can hear from others who are in the same situation, those who were looking for a job just a short time ago (and found one) and those who want to help you because they have a lot of experience to share and want to pay it forward.

You might be nervous about where to start, what to do, what not to do and there’s just too much information on the internet to even decipher the best approach.  To be successful in your job search you need a direct line to the industry–the employers themselves–and that’s where we come in!
