I am in my final semester at McGill studying nutrition with a concentration in Global Nutrition. I have a strong interest in food security that started when I established an international cooking club in high school, and soon after, my own apple pie business with deliveries throughout the community.
I combined my love for cooking and desire to work to relieve food insecurity through an internship with Share the Warmth, a remarkable NGO in Montreal. I learned how to be adaptable and how to work on a team with people from very different backgrounds, which allowed me to develop skills in communication and project management. My courses in global nutrition sparked my passion to learn more about food security and malnutrition globally, which motivated me to get involved with research in this field.
I am now analyzing qualitative data using the software MAXQDA and have experience in understanding nutrition-sensitive agriculture intervention in lower and middle income countries.
I am looking forward to finding full-time employment related to global food security and contributing to improving people's lives through nutrition.
