Long Quoc Tran

About me

I am Long Tran, I am going to graduate from Culinary Innovation and Food Technology May 2022. As a research assistant, I am passionate about food development. I have worked in different developing and innovative food projects including improve shelf-life, develop sensory palate, create the product from the beginning, and so on. I also assisted the HACCP specialist to create/develop/update the HACCP plan for our Niagara College Research and Innovation. 

Within my leadership and volunteer experience, I worked in Veg2me - a start-up project of shipping and selling vegetarian meals from homecook/restaurants to customers from April 2020 to March 2021. During that time, I helped the founder team in entrepreneur contest and got in top 6 of Hult Prize Southeast Asia and raised 35000$ USD in Creative Idea Challenge Vietnam in 2020. Since then, I have grown significant interest in working with plant-based food products.
